A 24.4 hectare site in Mapperley within Gedling Borough, Nottingham is being promoted for residential use in the emerging Gedling Local Plan, following the Council’s withdrawal from the Greater Nottingham Strategic Plan. Further technical work is underway, and Barwood Land expects to provide detailed site representations in advance of the next round of consultation on the Local Plan, which is expected towards the end of 2025.
The site is capable of delivering over 450 new homes, alongside the provision of considerable landscaped areas and open space. The Promotion Document identifying the opportunities for the site was first prepared in 2021 as a background evidence document and will be updated in due course.
